| As a returning starter in the backcourt, Christopher will be counted on for leadership and defensive intensity, in addition to his scoring ability this season ... voted Cal's Most Improved Player last year after raising his scoring average 10.0 ppg from his rookie campaign - the largest increase of any player in the Pac-10 ... has shown the knack for hitting the big shot, as in Cal's win at Washington last February ... plays the wing position and is adept at driving to the basket or pulling up for a jump shot ... one of the Bears' better shooters from the free throw line (career 77.5%) and three-point arc (career 58 made) ... led Cal and ranked fourth in the Pac-10 with 35.2 minutes played per game last year.
As a Sophomore in 2007-08: Christopher nearly tripled his scoring average from his freshman season, tossing in 15.2 ppg for the Bears, which ranked 10th in the Pac-10 ... earned honorable mention All-Pac-10 honors ... paced the Bears in points nine times during the year ... reached double figures 25 times after scoring 10 or more points just four times as a freshman ... had a tremendous start to the year, averaging 20.7 ppg over the first six contests ... tallied at least 16 points in each game with bests of 24 points vs. Nicholls State, 21 points against San Diego State and a career-high 26 points vs. Jackson State ... overall, scored at least 15 points 21 times, a total he reached just twice as a freshman ... tossed in a team-high 18 points in Cal's win over Missouri Dec. 1 ... paced the Bears in their Pac-10 opener vs. USC with 24 points to go along with seven rebounds and seven assists ... also had 24 points against the Trojans in Los Angeles ... nailed a career-high five three-pointers (nine attempts) at Oregon Jan. 10, finishing with 21 points ... also had five three-points (seven attempts) on his way to 23 points vs. Arizona State Feb. 16 ... drained a tie-breaking three-pointer with 27 seconds left on an in-bounds pass just before the shot clock expired at Washington Feb. 2, helping Cal to the 79-75 victory ... in the Pac-10 Tournament, contributed 25 points in the opening round against the Huskies.
As a Freshman in 2006-07: Christopher started 14 of 33 games during his freshman year, including 13 of 18 Pac-10 contests ... earned his first start at DePaul and contributed two points, two rebounds and three assists ... had eight points, four rebounds and two steals in a victory at Stanford ... tallied 10 points vs. USC for his first double-figure effort ... due to a groin injury, did not start at Washington State Feb. 10 ... came off the bench again vs. Oregon Feb. 15 and tossed in 16 points, with 13 coming in the first half when Cal built an eight-point lead ... set his season high two days later vs. Oregon State with 24 points and 11 rebounds, shooting 10-for-16 from the floor ... earlier in the year, chipped in nine points against Hawaii in the semifinals of the Great Alaska Shootout ... also had eight points in a win over Kansas State.
