		By Ted Lee Date: Mar 20, 2006 Despite Leon Powe's 14 points and 12 rebounds and a valiant 13 points from Rod Benson in a relief effort, California couldn't withstand a late game surge from the North Carolina State Wolfpack in a 58-52 first round loss in the NCAA Tournament in Dallas, Texas. While clutch three-point shooting helped North Carolina State's cause, the Bears also were done in when some odd substitution choices didn't quite work out as planned.
