Despite suffering slow starts in the first and second half - California rallied to defeat Hampton 69-46 at Haas Pavilion on Tuesday. The Bears trailed 16-5 early in the first half - but some inspired play from the bench - notably Martin Smith, David Paris and Kevin Langford - quickly brought the Bears back as Hampton was held to seven points in the final 12:35 in the first half.
