Signing Day Decision

Arie Kouandjio

Hyattsville (Md.)Dematha offensive tackle Arie Kouandjio took his official visit to Alabama this weekend. It is third official visit after tripping to Cal and New Mexico last month. He plans to take his last two visits before making his decision...

"My official visit was very good," said Arie Kouandjio. "I had a real good time. Everyone at Alabama showed me a great time.

"It was my first ever trip to Alabama. It was more than I expected. I really like how much support they have in everything they do. Everyone was trying to get to know you. I really liked that."

Kouandjio believes the relationships built will play an important factor.

"My host for the weekend was Chance Warmack," he said. "He was a nice guy. I liked him a lot. I am a real big people person. I try to really connect with people. I connected with a lot of guys this weekend. I think I fit in very well down there. I really enjoyed getting to know everyone.

"I met with coach Saban today in his office. I really like him a lot. He is a real good coach. He is a good person. I could see myself playing for him. We went over a lot of stuff. I spent a lot of time with coach Pendry as well. It was really great to be around him."

Kouandjio was in Tuscaloosa as the Tide celebrated this weekend the national championship with their fans in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

"It was great," he said about the celebration. "The fans show a lot of support. There was bad weather, but the fans still came out. That was really great to see. It was loud. I love the electricity. I just loved it there."

After tripping to California and New Mexico in December, Kouandjio will decide on his remaining two visits between Tennessee, Maryland, Miami and Notre Dame.

"I will make my decision on signing day," Kouandjio said.
