Roszell Gayden originally committed to Minnesota during his junior year of high school. It was his first offer, and he committed on the spot subsequently shutting down his recruitment shortly thereafter. More schools showed interest during his senior year, but he remained committed. Due to academics, he elected to attend College of the Sequoias rather than grayshirt at Minnesota.

Gayden says he's a "lean" 310 pounds.
After one year of JUCO ball, Gayden holds official offers from Arizona State, California, and Minnesota and verbal offers from Arkansas and Southern Mississippi. He names no favorites, and he says he would like to hear from Auburn, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, and USC among others.
The Golden Bears are the latest school to offer. Gayden talks about the Cal offer, his recruitment, current academic standing, timeline for a decision, and more in this CSD TV interview…
