In 2005, Dorsey (Los Angeles) linebacker Robert Mullins was an important piece of Dorsey's championship puzzle as the speedy and athletic Mullins racked up an impressive school record 165 tackles on the season, despite sharing the field with current Ohio State Buckeye Mark Johnson.

Despite the impressive total of tackles, Mullins had to miss some time late in the season after sustaining a career-threatening hip injury. The injury required extensive rehab as well as a process that involved drilling holes in portions of Mullins' hip in an attempt to help regenerate cartilage in the injured area and speed recovery.
