Bears add second local DT

California's football team added a second member to its 2006 recruiting class. Joining Isaac Leatiota is another local lineman that Bear fans have been reading about.

Scout.com learned Monday afternoon that Monte Vista (Calif.) Danville OL/DL Mike Costanzo verbally committed to Jeff Tedford and the Cal Golden Bears over interest from the rest of the Pac-10 and Nebraska. Costanzo's father Rich played for the Cornhuskers. Mike plays both ways for Monte Vista, but the 6-foot-2.5, 295-pounder is looking to play defense in college.

Tedford offered a scholarship to Costanzo roughly three weeks ago. He is the second local lineman to be picked up early by the Bears, joining Santa Clara Wilcox DT Isaac Leatiota.
