BREAKING: Ragin No Longer With Program
A Cal rep confirmed that Ragin is "no longer with the program."
A source told BearTerritory that Ragin is aiming to transfer to Oregon, which offered the three-star outside linebacker late in the recruiting process, before he re-committed to the Bears.
"Nothing is set as of now," Ragin told BearTerritory over text message, when asked about his destination.
Ragin played in eight games for Cal last season, registering 2 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and one sack. He joins sophomore left tackle Freddie Tagaloa and redshirt freshman quarterback Zach Kline in seeking transfers.
If Ragin does intend to transfer to Oregon, Pac-12 rules state that he must fulfill one academic year of residence and lose one season of competition before being eligible to compete, and he also may not receive athletically-related financial aid during his period of ineligibility.
