"My visit to Cal went real well," said Wright. "Cal showed me a lot more than football, a lot about life after football."
"More or less I was with Coach Stewart," said Wright. "I talked a lot with Coach Dykes. He's a good man. He wants you to be successful in more than just football. He wants you to get that degree. He's originally from Texas so we had that in common."
Wright also has an offer from Southern Utah to go with the Baylor and Cal offers, but it will be a battle of the Bears for him.
"I'm signing on Wednesday, and right now, it's 50-50 between Cal and Baylor," said Wright. "I could be deciding as soon as (Sunday night)."
Wright said the Baylor visit last week was a good one.
"Coach (Art) Briles is a really good guy and that helped me out a lot," said Wright. "All the coaches there are good people and just talking to them I got a good sense of them. I like the environment of Baylor and they're committed to being successful."
Wherever Wright signs, he'll enroll in January and will have four years to play three seasons.
