Kamryn Bennett of Peoria (Ariz.) Centennial has confirmed to BearTerritory that he committed to California tonight.
Bennett was awaiting a call back from head coach Sonny Dykes and Zach Yenser as of 8:00, but plans to tell them both the good news.
"I had a long talk with Coach Yenser, the o-line coach," Bennett said. "He answered all of my questions and my parent questions too. The education is the main thing that sold me. I am going to take an official visit there in December."
Bennett received his offer from Yenser on Oct. 30, thanks to his tremendous senior season thus far, making the 2013 24-7Football.com Mid-Season All-State team.
It's said that Yenser likes Bennett's intelligence and his ferocity on the line, and that he reminds Yenser of current true freshman starting left guard Chris Borrayo.
The 6-foot-3, 275-pounder visited Berkeley back in April. Bennett is a high-academic prospect with room to grow, good core values and a tough-minded approach to the game. We'll have more from him soon, so stay tuned.
