Where They'll Be: All-American Central

Jared Goff will quarterback the West during a Semper Fidelis Bowl that was a showcase for Cal commits a year ago.

With the All-American and all-star season upon us, it's time to check up on where the California football team's 2013 commits and targets will be playing.

First up is three-star linebacker Chad Whitener, the No. 39 linebacker in the nation, playing alongside Stanford commit Kevin Palma for the Red Team in the Offense/Defense Bowl in Houston, Tex., at Reliant Stadium on Dec. 30, at 5 PM Pacific, live on Comcast SportsNet.

Offensive tackle Dan Skipper -- recently offered by the Bears – will also be taking the field in Houston.

Of course, last week, future Bears Jared Goff, Matt Anderson, Ray Hudson, Cameron Hunt and Takkarist McKinley were in Visalia for the Cal State Game, though only McKinley and Hudson laced ‘em up, as Goff, Anderson and Hunt rested with various injuries.

Moore, offensive center prospect Thomas Oser, injured wide receiver commit A.J. Richardson and wide receiver target John Ross.

That game will be covered like a blanket by the FoxSportsNEXT/Scout.com network, including Cal Sports Digest. The game will be televised live on the NFL Network at 6 PM on Friday, Jan. 4.
