Collier hosting schools

Dominique Collier

Dominique Collier has hosted a handful of schools so far this fall. He gives Scout.com the latest in his recruitment.

A well known name on the circuit for quite some time, Dominique Collier has hosted a handful of colleges this fall.

The 6-foot-1, 160-pound Denver East 2014 point guard says that Kansas State, Gonzaga, Stanford, Colorado and Iowa are amongst the schools that have been by to see him, although it appears he remains wide open in his recruitment.

"I'm still open and going through the process right now," Collier said.

The four-star point guard identified Colorado, Kansas State and Stanford as the schools recruiting him the hardest.

The hometown Colorado Buffs will likely always be right there, in part due to his relationship with assistant Rodney Billups.

"I'm pretty close with Rodney and he's like a big brother; we're pretty close," Collier said.

That said, Collier still has no preference regarding location.

"It doesn't matter if I stay home or go out of state," he said. "That doesn't matter to me."

Collier still doesn't have any unofficial or official visits planned - he says he plans on sitting down with his family and figuring that out - and he's looking at a couple different attributes for each program that recruits him.

"I'm just looking to see where I'll fit in at the school and how I get along with the coaching staffs," Collier said.
