Dozier reaffirms commitment to Cal

Cedric Dozier

After first committing to Golden Bears in October, Lakewood (Wash.) Lakes cornerback Cedric Dozier chooses Cal despite late-push from Washington State.

Lakewood (Wash.) Lakes cornerback Cedric Dozier reaffirmed his commitment to California in a ceremony at his high school Tuesday afternoon.

Dozier first committed to the Golden Bears last October, but considered others schools after wide receivers coach Eric Kiesau abruptly left to become the offensive coordinator at Washington.

A versatile athlete expected to play wide receiver in college, Washington State made a late-push for Dozier but was ultimately unable to pull him away from Cal.

Scout.com will have more from Dozier's announcement.
